I am now at a time in my life a number of people come to me for advise about fitness and Beachbody programs. Not too long ago I would have never thought people would come to me for that sort of advise. I am glad that the opportunity to become a Team Beachbody Coach was presented to me, so I get the chance to help others achieve what I have.

Since I can remember, I've always been athletic. From the age of eight I started football and never looked back. I looked forward to football season every year. In my high school days I added wrestling and track to my sports activities; keeping me active all year long. I was 185 lbs and felt really great about that. After high school I stayed active and exercised fairly often. I made the choice to become a police officer and joined the police academy. Of course the academy had physical training as being part of the requirements, which at the time was not a problem for me. I was still in good shape, although not as good as in high school.

Once i graduated, I got married and got a job at one of the larger cities in my area, which had its fair share of on the job action. My department had physical fitness standards in order to keep your job and you also had to test a minimum of once a year. At the start of my career it was quite simple to stay within the minimum requirements of the PT test. As time went on I became complacent with my physical fitness, gained a some weight, which rose to about 200 lbs at the time.

Then I started working the grave yard shift and my spouse and I chose to have our last child. During her pregnancy, I also ate for 2. By the time my son was born, I reached 225 lbs and struggled to passing my PT test that year. I also found that I was very fatigued after the physical altercations at work. I knew something had to be done, however I didn’t know what to do. I worked at the hours of darkness and during the day (while my wife was working) I was taking care of my newborn son. I had no time for sleep, not to mention time and energy to workout. I was in bad shape. I managed to get through that year and my son was now walking, being more active, taking naps, and sleeping throughout the night. I still hadn’t made changes to my fitness, however I was obtaining more sleep and had more “free” time.

I made a decision I was going to get in better shape. I didn’t have much of a plan, never the less I started eating healthier and running while pushing my son in a stroller. My son helped keep me going. He loved the times I ran with him and he would pull the stroller out for me each day. This went on for almost the next year, I got down to 205 and hit a wall. It seemed I was never going to be able to get back to my fitness in high school. Then I saw a P90X infomercial. I figured it looked like an awesome workout and definitely not like the Richard Simmons stuff I saw in my younger years. I chose to put Tony Hortons claims of a 90 day transformation to the test.

When I got P90X I was committed to doing the 90 days and took pictures to see my transformation. That first week I hurt and hurt bad. I was unbelievably sore. Every muscle in my body screaming, however wasn’t intending to stop. I finished out that first phase and I could tell a huge difference in my fitness. I was looking better and my physical conditioning had improved ten fold. By the time I finished my first round of P90X I had become 172 lbs and felt great. I was now in BETTER shape than in high school! I became a fitness addict. The benefits and advantages that I got from in getting the best shape of my life was fantastic. I slept better, I actually had energy through out the day and I knew I had less of a chance being hurt a work. I continued using P90X and did three more rounds. I then decided to up my cardio and started Insanity. After I completed Insanity, I continued by using a hybrid workout of P90X and Insanity.
I was hooked on Beachbody products. They proved to me that they work. Everyone around me saw the changes that I went through and several of them started using Beachbody programs. Then I heard something about the Beachbody Business Opportunity and becoming a Beachbody Coach. I looked into it and thought this is perfect. I have a love for fitness and enjoy helping others get results like I did. I already tell everyone about it, I’ll never stop doing my fitness, and this is going perfect to supplement my income.

So here I am. I’m a Beachbody Coach in the best shape of my life. I’ve now completed P90X, Insanity, Insanity the Asylum, and I am half way through the second phase of P90X2. I have also improved my eating and use Shakeology everyday. I’m currently at 178 lbs with 6 % body fat and my PT scores for my job have put me in the 90th percentile, meaning my physical fitness is better than 90% of the other scores nation wide and I owe it to Beachbody.
